Forrester Recognises Quest Software as Market leader in Active Directory Management Solutions

Forrester Research last week, named Quest Software as a leader in Active Directory recovery solutions in its December 2007 Forrester Wave: Active Directory Management Solutions, Q4 2007 report.

According to the report, “Quest provides the most complete set of capabilities across its product suite…Quest continues to grow its leadership position.”

In addition, the report stated, “Quest offers solutions that are both individually competitive and comprehensive in scope. Quest offers the best Active Directory recovery facilities, and its Vintela products help customers extend Active Directory functionality to non-Windows systems. Quest also recently purchased another significant player in this space, ScriptLogic, in order to better target SMB environments.”

“Quest’s leadership in the Active Directory market and the Windows Management space underscores our dedication to customers and our strong partnership with Microsoft,” said Steve Dickson, vice president and general manager, Windows management solutions, Quest Software.

Quest’s Active Directory tools include support for migration, administration, availability monitoring, restoration, reporting and auditing, Group Policy management and extensions to non-Windows platforms.
