Brocade has announced a reseller agreement with Hitachi Data Systems.
In this agreement, Hitachi Data Systems will resell the Brocade StorageX file virtualization and management software solution. Through the agreement, Brocade StorageX will offer Hitachi Data Systems customers an industry-leading solution for file data replication and migration, as well as centralized management of multiple namespaces.
The innovative solution aims to solve some of today’s most pressing file data management challenges in distributed heterogeneous environments, including consolidation, remote office data management, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
"The addition of Brocade StorageX to the Hitachi Data Systems portfolio extends the Hitachi Data Systems and Brocade relationship into mission-critical file management solutions," said Tom Buiocchi, Brocade Vice President of Worldwide Marketing in press release.
With Brocade StorageX, Hitachi Data Systems will be able to expand its portfolio and offer a full end-to-end NAS solution with the ability to virtualize heterogeneous file systems and present a single, consolidated view of all enterprise files.
Michael Hay, senior director of Product Strategy, Hitachi Data Systems said, by combining Hitachi Data Systems, high-end NAS solutions and Brocade StorageX, their customers will be able to more effectively manage their file data, while enabling operational flexibility and improving IT efficiency.
