Philips Completes Cancellation of 38.4 Million Shares

Royal Philips Electronics announced yesterday that it has completed the cancellation of in total 38,496,058 of its own shares which were acquired for cancellation during the period August 25, 2008 up to and including November 14, 2008.

The average repurchase price was EUR 18.19 per share. These shares have been repurchased under the EUR 5 billion share repurchase program which Philips announced on December 19, 2007.

As a result of this cancellation, Philips' issued share capital as per yesterday amounts to 972,411,769 shares.
